Like JeremyJahns and Chris Stuckmann, who both call it the least effective of the main Conjuring Trilogy.

Think I'll give it a miss in the cinema, then, wait for streaming.

I'd agree with that - I really liked the first two, but this one was a bit of a haphazard mess.

If I listened to critics I would have missed out on quite a few good movies.

I don't think it will top the second one but still interested in seeing it since I did enjoy the first two. I am a bit worried about the director in this, but we'll see.
