Okay so...

1. This movie is not as good as the first. In any way.
2. At times, right from the beginning, it disregards the actual rules of the "found footage" subgenre. There are many instances where it appears there's a camera where there isn't. Takes you out of it if you notice those kinds of things.
3. For the most part, this just felt like a way to show off different kinds of haunts. Not that they aren't cool, the movie just got lost in that for a while. Unless there were more hints that they were being followed that I missed, there definitely should have been to make those sequences more important.
4. The twist. Man oh man the twist. What an absolute movie ruiner. Well it ruined both movies, actually. I don't know the prospects of ever furthering the series, but it ruined those chances as well. Terrible terrible choice.

This is a franchise I will pretend is just the first movie. Such a shame.
