yes!

I remember this board was painful to read when the show came out.

At least it got some recognition at the Emmys. 😊

Although Shira Haas should definitely have won the best actress in a limited series award for Unorthodox .

I didn't totally hate the show but Regina was one of the worst things about it. Was never impressed with her as an actress. Lots of good performances in this show but hers wasn't one of them. Not that awards mean anything to me. They should award this show the Nobel Peace Prize.

reply

Yeah, I didn't find anything impressive about her OR Yahya's performances, this was totally just a black thing.

Lindelof, otoh, totally deserved the best writing and best limited series awards for this, IMO.

reply

Did he win that?

reply

Yes.

Watchmen dominated the limited series awards yesterday:

reply

Yikes!

reply

Yeah, something so cerebral actually winning - imagine that!

reply

The Emmys do not mean a thing any more.

reply

Well, especially in the year of heightened BLM.

But I was happy that Schitt's Creek and Watchmen got their recognition.

Oh, and Julia Garner for Ozark. I was surprised though that Tom Pelphrey wasn't nominated, but then I don't think they have a guest star award for drama.

reply

All meaningless now.

reply

To you. Not to me, and certainly not to the actors.

reply

It's all meaningless. They are giving awards for skin color. Not quality. So it's all meaningless, no matter how much you want to think otherwise.

reply

Okay, it's obviously pointless to talk to you since you obviously have no idea who the people I mentioned above even are.

reply

It doesn't matter if I know them. Liberals have ruined these kinds of awards. Appeasing BLM is the most important thing right now. So these awards are meaningless. Even people who might agree with the winners have in the back of their minds these are not legit at all. And haven't been for at least 5 years. And the sad truth is the quality of work suffers and the artists who really are doing the best work have lost their chance to be recognized. The moment people whined about Oscar not being black enough it spelled the end of it.

reply

That's true
