There's one thing I didn't understand. Did Tony have to pay to get in the contest?

No, he didn't have to pay. They probably had to pay for their hot dogs, but at the time, those'd probably be about $.25 a piece, so I doubt it'd cut into their profit margin.

Assuming it was a quarter a dog, and Tony at 26, that's $6.50. Tony has a net profit of $43.50.
