You're asking these type of questions in a non-realistic show? It's part of plot and i think if they showed how they did it...it would ruin the experience.

Well at least they could show the girls are a little bit wolfy. Pointy ears, long teeth, hairy, and a tendency to get together at night and howl at the moon. That sort of thing.

All that from 3% wolf DNA? The wolf personalities that hold are lil quicker reaction rate and ability to hear further than normal humans. They kinda shown that off several times. Also wolves kinda being dogs...they shown their ability to learn and adapt. I think any more than that would ruin the "realism" of the show, dip too far into super fiction teen wolf type of crap or superheros/supervillians.
