Is this a "cold opener"?
Johnny English officially opens this weekend (October 26th).
I live in a Major city area with MANY theaters in the rather widespread area. There are only TWO theaters showing the movie. I went out of my way a bit to see it. I'm glad I did.
Rowin Atkinson is a comedic genius. If you are a fan, I doubt that you will be disappointed. If you have seen the first 2 installments you will love this one too.
So my question is: WHY isn't it on more screens? I know some movies are "test marketed" sometimes before they roll out on more screens. They often call these "cold openers".
I know that critics have "panned" this..... so what else is new. MOST written reviews on IMDB are favorable. the majority of the voters gave it a 7. Very few ones. I know the overall score is (at this point) 6,6 but IMDB has some sort of a "weighted average" scoring system that only THEY know how it works.
Bottom line, the only opinion that REALLY matters to me is MINE! I rated it an 8.
