What was its budget? because it looked cheap

My guess that it was moderately low like in the 15-30 mil. range. Even 30 would seem to be too generous. It certainly didn’t feel like it was a sci-fi feature for a mil, but still it felt quite cheap. It didn’t have any good long action scenes and with a young cast of relatively unknowns, the most money probably was spent on sets and cgi.

It had a 25 million budget and 41,9 million box office. Knowing that nowadays you should double box office numbers because of streaming it was a financial success.

I see, thanks for the info. Just like I was suspecting of its budget, but surprised it made any money. I only paid $2 to see this turkey at my local discount theater and I still feel ripped off.

The only reason i watched is because of franchise name, which is what got most people to watch id guess.

I think one of the biggest faults with this movie was having the wrong cast. It hurt the movie badly.
