One striking thing I noticed about Sophie's face....

About Sophie's grandma, here's the thing: I'm a gay guy. Like all of my people, Cher is the queen of all. So don't burn me at the stake for saying this, but....

From the first time I saw Amanda Seyfried, one thing I've ALWAYS noticed is how much she looks like Goldie Hawn. I would even have sworn they were closely related. Not only that, be she also has an awesome singing voice. For that reason, I wouldn't be entirely disappointed to see her in the role.

But there's no disappointment here. Never when there is Cher.

Why wouldn’t Amanda Seyfried be in the role she already played in the FIRST film?

Wtf?

reply

Uuuuuummmmm.....I wasn't talking about Hawn playing the role of Sophie. Sophie is not 73. I was talking about Goldie Hawn playing her GGRRAANNDDMMOOTTHHEERR.

Ya didn’t specify, cakeboy.

Your second paragraph tangent took a wrong turn.

But I’d prefer Goldie to “Cher the Mushface” ANY day.

Or night.

reply

Oh OK. Well with Goldie at 73, I didn't think specifying was necessary.

And cakeboy? You can go jump into traffic. I'll still sleep tonight. Have a nice day.

HASH cited Amanda, NOT Goldie, if I understand (Amanda was the main attraction, in the first..)

LAST-MINUTE SELF-CORRECTION:
I was thinking that HASH said "Why would Sophie (Amanda) be in the role she already played (dauighter) in the first film", then I just saw "why WOULDN't Sophie.." so I stand corrected about whatr I saw..Amanda as Sophie, of course, couldn't be the grandmother yet (she would be, 30 or so, 25 when set, 20 when the original was made/set..whew) and Cher is the grandmother, but the original psoter wanted Goldie Hawn to be the grandmother.
