Anyone looking forward to this?
I'll probably see it as I do like movies that are dumb and fun, but I can't say my feelings are strong enough to say I'm "looking forward to it".

You could tell that much from the trailers?
I thought they firmly established Harry as gay, and he was being presented as a father character. Yes, pairing him up with a woman would make me very, very angry, so what makes you think they're doing that?

I am in crazy stupid messy love with the original movie/musical. From everything I know about the upcoming, I have yet to find anything that keeps me looking forward to this. Though we all pretty much know the premise, I'll cover the spoilers anyway.
To begin with,
Meryl Streep's character (Donna) has passed away.
I'm already done, if for no other reason. Secondly, all the really good songs have already been done. All I can anticipate now is either songs I don't know, or a repetition of songs they've already done. Lastly, Rosie (Julie Walters). I just can't take anymore. Something about her just prances on my last fragile nerve.
If anything in the trailer contradicts my post, I admit I've not seen the trailer yet. Guess I need to get around to that.
I'll give you 4 big reasons to look forward to it:
1) Cher singing Fernando.
2) A return to that amazing Greek village.
3) The whole cast returning.
4) Cher....singing.....Fernando.
Not at all. Tried to watch the original, but gave up after ten minutes. Just like you I can enjoy dumb and fun, but this one was dumb and fun in all the wrong ways.
shareI’m watchin it but not lookin 4ward 2 it. 1st movie wuz torture but I’m masochistic.
shareProbably will around some point (just not in cinemas). I'm actually starting to hear a lot of better things from this sequel. I thought the first movie was kind of mediocre, but fun.
shareI thought the first movie was better than it had any right to be and I was forced to watch it as part of a family outing without other means of entertainment at my disposal. Silly popcorn fun.
shareI am!~ I love the original!
