I wish they could do time travel movies without plot inconsistencies

When Vera talks to young Nico and alters the timeline, she is the only one who remembers the original timeline. One can assume it is because she is the one who figuratively traveled back in time to change the present. Everyone else's memory of the original timeline is wiped out.

The second time a timeline is altered is when old Nico talks to young Nico, and tells him to forget about Vera. Here Nico tampered with the past, so he should still retain complete memory of the timeline where he marries Vera. And Vera should have no memory of any of the events that happened to her in that timeline, including knowledge of her husband's affair, or her own suicide.

But when Vera wakes up in a new timeline at the end of the movie, she somehow remembers the events of the previous 2 timelines. While Nico remembers nothing that happened to him. And apparently, Vera now wants to get with the guy who stalked her throughout his life in the previous timeline.
