too many similarities, even some of the dialogue came out of harry potter

they will have been hoping/dreaming (expecting?) anything approaching even a tenth of a Harry Potters box office.

instead SR made $730,762 worldwide

Because it's a British boarding school story? Harry Potter didn't invent that. Cripes, that's like all the Potter fans who scoffed at Terry Pratchett's Discworld having the Unseen University as a ripoff of Hogwarts.
