This Show is Hysterical!

Just musing on some of the nonsensical things that go on in this show. If you have your own feel free to add them. Well watching this I just love some of the things going on such as:

How everybody can speak the language of Adam like it’s second nature. Tic, Montrose, Leti (I think). What? They have a Babbel course on it over there? How believable is that?

How the whole police force outside of Leti’s house pulls their guns on Tic who shows up in the middle of the street in wide eyed terror who of course drop their course of action trying to kill Leti & enter the house. Yes I see they’re stressing a point. Overkill much?

At the end Leti says “The spell worked”. Uh...what spell exactly is that? She can’t be talking about Tic because she didn’t know he cast one & why would hers work....for him?

We see Leti not get hurt in the attack on her & the house by Captain Lancaster due to Christina’s invulnerability spell, we see the glass & bullets in slow motion bounce off of her, so if that’s the case then how did those 2 guys manage to f*ck up Christina the way they did? Oh yeah, that makes sense.

Everybody yells at everybody else over Christina. Tic gives her the Orrey key & gets yelled at by Leti but then she gives Christina the negatives & gets yelled at by Tic. “Don’t trust her! She’s playing you, kill her! We got to stay away from this ofay!” but yet everyone winds up on her doorstep I mean what the hell? For someone that they all don’t want there or near them they’re tripping over themselves arranging their own secret meetings with her. Talk about not making any kind of sense. You guys have to have seen that.

Really! Anything else?

Christina put the MARK of CAIN on LETI inside of the CHURCH where she found her praying. That was a SPELL for her protection.

Tic and his father/uncle also CAST the other spell that PROTECTS TIC (which is why the MONSTER shows up and PROTECTS him from the COPS).

Christina also CASTS another SPELL right before the guys start to BEAT HER UP and KILL HER which also explains the other scene with her.

Christina removed her invulnerability spell in order to be able to die, but still had revivability to come back.

I'm confused.

If she removes her INVULNERABILITY SPELL so she could DIE, then how did she REVIVE and COME BACK again???

And since her FATHER DIES because he removed his INVULNERALBE SPELL before he died, then WHY does CHRISTINA assume she WON'T DIE when she tries to do the SAME THING her father did???

Apparently she was also suppose to have done something that ensures her father would die after he removes his INVULNERABILITY, but WHY would she also assume TIC or someone else won't also do the same thing as she did before to her father???

In the PREVIEW CLIP it also looks like TIC might be doing something similar when he places his hand onto the FLOOR BOARDS and we see some kind of RED LIGHT appearing under them.

So maybe when he READS that BOOK they have from going BACK in TIME, TIC will also learn how to CAST the SAME kind of a COUNTER SPELL as CHRISTINA did when she did something that screws up her father's ability to become IMMORTAL???

It was also interesting how the ORERRY also looked like it had the SAME kind of ELECTRIC BLUE LIGHT effect that we saw back when Christina's father used that other MACHINE as a way to try and become IMMORTAL.

I just assumed she had used auto-casted revival spell like she used on Leti to bring her back. Invulnerability and reviving people are 2 different spells after all.

Great observations Alex !!!

And Since we never saw LETI being REVIVED again (only her freaking out in the bathroom after she had been), also Forgot all about that.

It's also interesting that her father would allow CHRISTINA to REVIVE LETI again, when he refused to REVIVE GEORGE again (until after TIC would sacrifice himself for him so he could get into EDEN. )

So is Christina invulnerable currently or no? I'd assume she'd put her invulnerability spell back on if possible.

In reply to another thread you asked "where the hell is Ji-Ah?" It's very odd they didn't show even a 12 sec clip of her holing nearby in a hotel or something. They also did not show her going home either so I'm leaning towards her still being in the picture. What if Tic's son ends up not being what we think is his and Leti's but actually Tic and Ji-Ah's. Like in the finale Leti dies somehow, Ji-Ah's curse is somehow lifted so she's free to have children. They would be a lot of story for one episode but this show moves at a pretty breakneck pace. Also I didn't notice/recall any biracial traits in that author's picture of Tic's son but it was small and I didn't really study it closely.

If they end up saving Dee will she be without one arm?

Wow!!! You guys and your ideas are BRILLIANT !!! That would definitely be a MIND BLOWING TWIST IF Tic Son does turn out to be a result of his having had sex with Ji-Ah !!

And what would that mean???

Could he also be born with 2 kinds of MAGIC in his BLOOD instead of just one kind???

As for LETI dying ...

The problem is she's already DIED before and we still also don't really know what exactly that means.

Some kind of a SPELL was used to RESURRECT her again, but then she also told TIC that she didn't really feel the same or feel as alive as she had before.

So IF she died, one would also assume that she could be REVIVED again???

And TIC would probably also know how to do that now that he's got that BOOK they went after when they went BACK in TIME.

But LETI also stood there in the FIRE and DIDN'T DIE due to the PROTECTION SPELL, so one would also assume for that reason she's now got some kind of SUPERWOMAN STATUS where she CANNOT DIE???

And Since we also saw the WRECKED WOODY looking the SAME again as it did before it got SMASHED UP, one would also imagine that there's some way that Dee's arm could also be fixed in the same way as the WOODY was???

I would really like to know the rules of this universe now.

FYI I don't want Leti to die just considering dark possibilities. They've led us to believe Christina may kill Tic so it would be a twist. If Leti were to die again and get revived again it might seem too convenient. Yes she's invulnerable which might also be described as overpowered. If this was the MCU I'd say she's safe but this show has been such a dark downer at times. Also Ruby made Christina promise not to hurt her sister so seems like a juicy opportunity for a betrayal. Thinking of Tulsa 1921, Tulsa was the site of economic power the African American community acquired and it was destroyed (taken away) by white Americans. So Leti as a black woman finally aquires some magical power and I wouldn't be surprised if Christina took it away. This may also apply to Ruby. IDK could be a stretch.

They brought up multiple universes (think Hippolyta said something like 60 trillion universes) What if no one is actually resurrected but are just plucked from a different universe? Which may explain why Leti mentioned feeling off.

Yes this MULTI VERSE ISSUE is also a problematic one whenever it comes to trying to understand what's going on in THIS ONE.

And when TIC also turns out to be someone his OWN FATHER WITNESSED PROTECTING HIM with the BASEBALL BAT back when he was still a CHILD, that also OPENS UP all kinds of other PARADOXICAL SITUATIONS that don't make any sense.

PLUS the story also began with that DREAM TIC has where the other FAMOUS BASEBALL PLAYER went around BASHING in the HEADS of the other creatures.

So could this ENTIRE STORY have also been some kind of a DREAM???

Will the SEASON END with us seeing TIC WAKE UP on the BUS again???

Maybe because someone REWINDS TIME again as a way to try to keep whatever happens from happening???

Because once you have access to that TIME MACHINE doesn't that also enable to you CHANGE what's happened (which was also why TIC tried to keep MONTROSE from saving the life of the other boy which he was afraid would result in TIC NOT EXISTING which would also mean his SON would never be born)???

So the QUESTION you've put forth is also an EXCELLENT ONE, and there's also another fairly new SHOW called STAR TREK DISCOVERY where the LEAD CHARACTER (a BLACK GIRL) also did exactly what you've described which was to GRAB HOLD of another version of her ALREADY DEAD CAPTAIN in another MIRROR UNIVERSE and then bring her here to THIS ONE (because that's also how badly she missed her DEAD CAPTAIN).

This other LOOK-a-LIKE character was also an EVIL EMPRESS in the other WORLD, and she's also full of lots of TRICKS that might also backfire on bringing her here to this WORLD. And another character from the MIRROR WORLD also replaced another CAPTAIN without others being aware that had happened. So if what you've described happens, then you could have all kinds of characters being replaced by others who look like them (but are not them).

When TIC shows up wearing his UNIFORM at LETI's house warming party that also left me wondering if that was another IMPOSTER (like that other time when LETI almost had sex with that other VISION who had the SNAKE for a private part). So is it possible this TIC is already from another different WORLD or UNIVERSE??? And how did MONTROSE ever escape from that PRISON that they had him in??? It would also be pretty hard to dig one's way through STONE WALLS with one's fingers. So something else that we don't know about yet must already be going on???

Oo yeah I forgot about Montrose digging himself out of the earth like a zombie. That was very strange.

They mentioned that Tic wore his uniform to Leti's party deliberately to make the racist neighbors feel more comfortable and to lessen suspicion that they may be an anti-American group. When Lancaster tried to enter the house i think he mentioned something about communists?

I watched the first 2 eps of Discovery when it was first available years ago on cbs all access. Didn't realize at the time it was a weekly release so only saw the 2. Glad to hear Michelle Yeoh comes back but not as evil!

Thanks for the explanation re: TIC wearing the uniform to the party. It just struck me as being WEIRD due to the way he's never worn it anywhere else and wearing it to a party where people could spill drinks on it also didn't make much sense. But this "he's not a commie" stuff does.

The MIRROR VERSION of Michelle Yeoh is EVIL. She was an EVIL EMPRESS who served one of SARU's species to Michael for dinner and even had her select which one of 3 of them would be served. But she's also EXTREMELY ENTERTAINING as well and she also has some of the BEST LINES in the show. PLUS she's also suppose to get her own show called SECTION 31 (which is a TOP SECRET branch of the FEDERATION). And Picard (from the NG also has his own show now). And there's also suppose to be another new TREK show coming out called STRANGE NEW WORLDS.

Anyhow, DISCOVERY has made SEASON 3 but I don't think it's been released yet??? It will also take place 900 YEARS in the FUTURE because the SHIP LEAPS that far ahead at the end of S2 to protect the knowledge the ship has from CONTROL who wants it.

So S3 will also be dealing with a TIME FRAME where NO ONE has BEEN BEFORE.

And one also wonders if maybe we could also be dealing with some TIME TRAVEL ISSUES in LOVECRAFT too???

LETI, for example, might get SUCKED into a TIME PORTAL like TIC DID if she tries to save TIC when CHRISTINA tries to use him to be IMMORTAL??? Then in S2 she might also end up with an entirely different story than the other one that involves TIC???

Or another SCI FI TRICK is to have LETI coming back again with her SON who is already a GROWN UP MAN (like we also saw happening to the son of the KLINGON QUEEN in DISCOVERY who's INFANT SON also ends up being an already GROWN SON who also ends up running the TEMPLE where the TIME CRYSTALS are kept).

So LETI might also enter this other world of a FUTURE TIME before coming back to TIC's TIME again with the infant already a GROWN MAN???

And then the object might be to try to keep going backward or forward in time to try to FIX things once LETI would already know what's going to happen before it happens (which is also what one suspects the DISCO crew of DISCOVERY's mission might end up being in that show as well)???
