Who Were the 2 Girls?

I’m talking about the 2 girls who were haunting/following Diana. I’m asking because it wasn’t made clear in the episode as to who they were. Were they the 2 girls you see Diana get mad at & then throw the rocks at? But if that’s the case, are they merely manifestations that the police captain conjured up to curse her?

Or the better question is, on his way to Diana, did he do something to the actual 2 girls like kill them or place a spell on “them” & turn them into that? That would be beyond evil to me but then again just conjuring spirits based on their likenesses is evil enough. But again I”m not sure if they are just demons with the appearances of those 2 girls or are they the 2 girls themselves.

Any ideas?

Remember that BOOK that falls down when DIANA RUNS out the WINDOW??? It's called "UNCLE TOM's CABIN," and on the COVER of it you can also see the 2 CHARACTERS that we see chasing after her later on.

So whatever kind of a SPELL the COP puts on her it also involves having her HALLUCINATE and see something that's not really there, but what she sees is also still something that's based upon the BOOK that we saw FALLING DOWN off of the BOOK SHELF right before she exits through the window.

That’s an excellent point. Thank you for it. I hadn’t thought of that until your post. I now remember having heard the word as a child. No wonder those demons were so repugnant. They’re what you get when you combine the racist cartoons with demon teeth and claws, plus some really creepy (and excellent) choreography.

I thought including Sonia Sanchez’s poem, “Catch the Fire,”to the house-inferno scene was an inspired choice.
