The national tour in 2021
This show toured in 2021 after taking a year off due to you know what. I have to say, while the TV version was only moderately successful, watching the show live on stage, with an incredibly talented cast (and OMG those KIDS!!) was one of the single most enjoyable experiences I have ever had in a theater. And, from the audience's reaction, I was not alone. Just a complete delight from beginning to end. One of the kids did a tap dance solo in Act 2 that literally stopped the show! The national tour comes out every year right around November, and if you ever get a chance to see it I would HIGHLY recommend it. Just two hours of pure joy!!
