Does Mr. Legend have what it takes or has he bitten off more than he can chew?
I enjoyed the entire production and presentation MUCH more than I was expecting. So that was a huge plus for me in what was a VERY enjoyable Sunday evening watch.
That said, I give John a B minus. He did fine in parts, but they should have cast a tenor in the role as that is what it was written for. The dude just could not hit thee high notes that were written for Gethsemane. Sure, he put some in there, but they were no correct and one of the two KEY ones he skipped altogether.
Will buy the blu-ray so I won't have to FF through the too many commercials. They sure did increase in frequency as the time went on.
