Anyone keeping HBO for this?
shareI'll be watching this show for SURE. I was hoping that they'd make a show that was just a few hundred years prior to the events of GoT... but 5000 years will suffice
shareJamie Campbell Bower is cast in this?! As what? A goat? He single-handedly ruined both the series Camelot (and that’s hard to do when you have Alpha-Female Eva Green cast as the antagonist) AND the film The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones. He has all the machismo and charisma of a guy who posts regularly on the MC comic book movie topics. I have a very bad feeling about this.
I’m keeping HBO, Otter, but not for this, though I’ll watch it. HBO
has always done right by me. I want the second season of Big Little Lies. I want more Veep and more Westworld.
Maybe Campbel Bower is being cast as the Theon character, the douche that looks cute at first glance but that everyone quickly comes to dislike. I'm not going to worry about the casting on this one unless someone tells me that they've changed out the whole casting staff. The casting on "Game of Thrones" has been top notch, even most of the child actors who grew up on the show have grown up to be excellent.
I'm torn on whether to keep HBO. If I do it won't be for this, or just for this, I work odd hours and do like having several channels of movies running 24/7.
Of the 4 truly premium providers—HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and STARZ—for my money (literally!) HBO is in a class of its own, delivering the most consistently. I like all the providers, plus The Movie Channel, StreamPix, Epix and even Netflix in one way or another. And I think it stinks that the provider market has become so fragmented that there are movies I want to run on the home theater I designed and built require me to have additional streaming services. That said, you will pry HBO from my cold, dead hand.
