Never saw the first 9 seasons but loving the show

Only saw bits and pieces and a few episodes of Roseanne as a kid growing up usually when I am channel surfing trying to find something to watch. Roseanne voted for Trump and the aunt for Jill Stein.

Pretty unique portraying a conservative family with a liberal pussyhat wearing aunt. You never really or at all see that as it's mostly shunned upon in Hollywood. Lot of decent to funny jokes especially at the end of ep 2 with the he can wear a dress but he's got to wear some underwear. XD

Also, I noticed the token black child Mary Conner which I have no idea who that belongs to.

"okay he doesn't have to wear pants, but he's got to wear underwear"

Yeah that line left me in stitches! Haha

As someone who did watch the original series growing up and even watched it as an adult well after the series ended, I'd have to say that they got this continuation of the series just right. The comedy writing is the same, the house has the same feel the Wardrobe has the same feel. After all these years I can't believe how much this feels like the original series, even though they introduced new characters.

BTW Season 4 is where it really gets good.

The little African American girl is DJ's daughter. During the earlier seasons, DJ had to kiss an African American girl in a play and he didn't want to. They made a really big deal about it. Well it turns out he ended up marrying her and having a kid together.

That's so cool. Thanks for the info. I found the clip as well. So where's the wife then? Didn't see her in the first 2 episodes.
