It looks good. I'm not sure that it looks GREAT but it definitely looks good and I'm hyped for it.

As a long-time fan of M. Night, I'm really happy to see him get his groove back and find success again, both with critics and audiences, and at the box office. Let's hope Glass ends up living up to everyone's expectations and is a big box office hit.

I'm curious to see where he goes from here.

Big fan of both Unbreakable and Split. The former remains one of the most unique superhero movies and an all around great suspense thriller. I am sure I’m far from alone when I say Dunn & Glass were two characters that always deserved another movie. As for Split, I loved it. Enthralling from beginning to end and it undoubtedly left me hankering for a sequel — connection to Unbreakable notwithstanding. It’s a BEAST of a film (pun intended).

Anyway, learning that these two films were set in the same universe and that a “crossover” between them was happening was beyond cool. Now that the trailers for Glass have come out, my excitement for this thing is through the roof! As I stated before, the tone of both Split & Unbreakable seems to be perfectly captured here. Story also looks great, but I could say the whole thing looks great actually! And basically seeing all these characters again puts me in a jovial mood. :) It’s goosebumps-inducing.

Pretty psyched for it (top 10-5 most anticipated of 2019) and I hope it exceeds expectations.

ok that looks pretty good actually

It does look good, but isn't January when sucky movies are supposed to come out?

reply

Correct. Good/anticipated movies very rarely ever come out in January. In other words, this is definitely known as a dumping month for movies.

But the reason “Glass” is being released in January is because they want to release it in the same month as “Split” which came out in January 2017. Night’s last film was the exception to the rule when it comes to January releases and it’s pretty likely “Glass” will be a big hit for M. Night. Now mind you... there have been good films released in January but you don’t see hugely anticipated sequels like “Glass” get released in this otherwise uneventful month.

I think the whole January dumping ground thing is only a half-truth.

Yeah, it's the month when a lot of shitty movies get released to theaters, but it's also often the month when critically acclaimed films that had previously only been released to New York and LA finally go wide for the rest of the nation to see.

This year, for instance, Molly's Game, The Post and Hostiles all went wide in January.

For that matter, we also got Den of Thieves and Maze Runner 3 in January this year, and I enjoyed both of those. 12 Strong also wasn't bad.

There have been some good movies that have come out in January before like The Grey, The Last Stand, The Book of Eli, Cloverfield.

I saw trailer before Aquaman this weekend. Have to admit it's got me intrigued.
