Yes, it was the best made film. The directing was incredibly precise and effective, a joy to watch.
Whatever politics you boomers want to conjure up out of the circumstances are irrelevant to the question formulated in the title.

shareI liked the film, but I didnt love it. Had it been more credible, and more realistic I would have loved it..For example , the film Buitiful depicted social and economic differences in a realistic way. That film still haunts me. Yet this film will not, and I wouldnt rewatch it in a few years.

shareProbably not, but who knows... so many mediocrities have won over the years that a genre-hopping film as cleverly plotted as Parasite may still have taken off in English. It is more Western in its structure and sensibilities than many Asian films, which no doubt helped it become such a hit.
