First off, spoilers ahead. With that in mind, I’d love to know what you guys thought about THAT scene. You know the one I’m talking about...where Nick Nolte inverts a bottle of Lorenzo’s oil and sends it careening back in time toward the Big Bang, all while Preisner’s Lacrimosa booms in reverse over the soundtrack. I still have goosebumps, and am definitely giving it my vote for best scene of 2020.

You obviously haven’t been paying attention. In an effort to battle the negativity that permeates this site, I’ve been spreading the Gospel of Lorenzo’s Oil for the past couple of years. It’s easily the finest, most uplifting film ever made, starring the greatest actor to ever walk the face of this Earth.

Never seen it. I will one day watch it. But one movie canonot and never will be, the be all and end all of flicks.
