WB not allowing drive ins ππ
in markets where in door theaters are closed
shareFunny in a weird way.
shareThat sucks. I guess I'll never get to see it on a bigger screen, then.
shareI would wait for the studio to say that instead of just some writer making up a story to get people to log on a see the junk advertising in it.
shareIt was published in Variety, which is the industry standard for show-biz news: https://variety.com/2020/film/news/tenet-theaters-drive-ins-christopher-nolan-1234746741/
But two weeks ahead of its domestic debut, scheduled for Sept. 3, Warner Bros. offered some clarity to exhibitors about its plans for Nolanβs latest. The studio issued strict guidelines to drive-in operators across the country, mandating that βTenetβ can only play in outdoor venues if indoor theaters in that particular market are open.
[Thomas shoots Matt in the leg]
Thomas Gabriel: [Thomas grabs Lucy and puts the gun to her head] Matthew. Matthew! I really need you to pay attention. The rules can always change.
That's weird and doesn't even make sense. Why wouldn't they want every dollar they can get?
