Now we know Tenet is a disappointment, what else is coming

Black widow is delayed but might make the direct leap to Disney plus of course so there's that. With 85 inch TVs nowadays most self-sufficient folks can enjoy even big screen titles the way they are meant to be seen from the comfort of their home with no need to suck the infection from some hillbilly in those public cough coffins called cinemas.

reply

Wonder Woman.

reply

I saw the trailer a couple days ago. Looks interesting. Could be good. I'm a sucker for an 80's setting.

reply

There wasn’t anywhere near as much bad CGI in the 80’s, though.

reply

Hahah. You really have a hard on for hating a movie you've never seen. I'm not saying this movie was awesome, but you haven't even seen it. Plus no tv can compare to the theatre experience. If you don't want to go to the cinema that's fine. But some people do.

reply

It's true. I'm trying to keep people from going to cinemas. Tenet turning out to be mediocre was just convenient.

reply

What horse do you have in this race?

reply

So if the movie was infact the best movie ever you would still call it the worst, just to keep people out of cinemas. So really we can't trust a word you say because you have an agenda.

Me I have no agenda. So nothing I say can be misconstrued. Cause all I care about is the truth, or whatever is closest to that.

reply

By that logic you are a mass murderer for sending people straight to the infection chambers!

But I am glad that you agree that Tenet is mediocre at best and therefore not worth the trip to the theater/death room.

reply

Not true. I believe the movie should be seen at the cinema. My opinion of it has little bearing.

reply

Ok, people can of course go watch it in cinemas. After there is a cure for COVID-19 or a vaccine.

reply

Which could be never.

reply

True. But why take the extra risk? For a movie? Don't think so.

reply

Why not? If covid could be forever.

reply

Plague has been around for a long time. Although there is now a cure, I still wouldn't want to catch it. Therefore I stay away from known plague pits.

reply

But cinemas have never been known plauge pits.

reply

Until now

reply

Why are you so scared of a virus with a .04% death rate? And, if you're under 60, it only has a .004% death rate. Time to grow a pair pussy!

reply

I predict that you will die from Covid that you catch from a checker in the supermarket straight through that cobra strike shield.
Me? I'll watch Tenet in the theater and I'll wear my fucking science burka. Probably spread Covid quietly to another hillbilly who will also experience no symptoms.

I can't wait.

reply

keeping people out of cinemas..... really? Go out ANY weekend in America, to any park and see hundreds, MANY HUNDREDS of people there, close to each other, no masks, happily spreading covid, killing their friends, no one seems to give a $#!t. In USA anyway.

or go to BARS

22 people masked, spaced apart, in a sanitized theater for a couple hours, are NOT the problem

reply

The people outside at least are outside, with plenty of ventilation. But they're not being very smart indeed. Keeping additional risk at bay by not going to the cinema is a good thing.

reply

Dude, you have opened five threads in the last two days in the Tenet and the Christopher Nolan subforum, including one calling Nolan a murderer.

I think everybody is a little suspicious by now that you dislike Nolan, slightly. You don't need to keep opening more threads to confirm it. 😄

reply

Nolan is an influencer and I like much of his work. Certainly him stating that people should see Tenet in cinemas and pushing those to reopen sooner than is wise is going to be the cause of at least one infection with the potential to cause death. That's what murder is, pushing your agenda at the cost of another's life.

reply

That is not murder. Maybe manslaughter. But most likely neither.

reply

I'd suggest rape. Nowadays everything is rape, micro-rape, nano-rape, trans-rape, cis-rape, rape-explaining, or anything of sort, so in case you want to accuse somebody of something, rape is the safer bet. 😄

reply

You just raped my idea of what rape is.

reply

I rape-explained it 😄

reply

Rapesplained.

reply

Just be careful with rape-sprains 😄

reply

Theirs or yours?

reply

my best laugh today! Thank you people!!

reply

Rapesplaining. I like it!

reply

Micro rape, nano rape and cis rape. Please explain.

reply

The other ones, I made them up. But micro rape is a real feminist term:

microrape: Characterized by predatory non-physical prurient communications with the intent to penetrate the victim's emotional security on the basis of heteronormative impositions.
https://web.archive.org/web/20150612162953/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microaggression

reply

I'm not Gunna click on the link. Had to google prurient for the meaning. But yeah adding rape to a word ala minirape is a bit much.

reply

I shed some tears of laughter over this entire exchange. Thank you, lads.

reply

No worries son.

reply

drive past some parks.... open your eyes.... wake up. People are CHOOSING to kill them selves. Let them. Natural Selection has been stopped for too long and is fighting for its place.

(PS I know 4 FOAFs that have passed away due to covid, yet I still feel this way) Dumb people need to off themselves.

reply

I am unable to decipher the DaVinci code in which you speak. Please explain in English.

reply

Friend Of A Friend

reply

So your opinion is, it is dumb to be out and about, but good on 'em for being dumb cause that's natural selection. Have you seen how Spider-Man starts?

reply

i have not

reply

I don't want ANYONE to die, bottom line.

I'm dissappointed and sad to see what people are doing to themselves, but I can't stop them. Saw a fully crowded 4 field baseball area recently (driving by) and stunning that no one cared.

reply

You said let them. Natural selection has been stopped for too long.

reply

so spiderman movie said that? i've been saying it for decades. others have too. and it is a valid point still

people want to shoot themselves in the foot or the face and we try to protect them from doing it. why? let 'em. if people dumb enough to do it, dump that ignorance from taking up resources and wasting our money protecting them.

this whole "event" makes this painfully obvious

reply

The Spider-Man movie showed if you sit idle by while injustice happens, bad shit may occur upon you. No matter how much letting it happen may seem just.

reply

Tis the uncle Ben dilemma.

reply

but sometimes you just cant reach people. tis a good lesson to learn fast before wasting your personal life TIME chasing closed off foot shooters.

reply

I think everyone is reachable. Within reason.

reply

We can't just halt the world because of a flu.

reply

No but we can help prevent people from doing stupid things like going to the cinema when there is an airborne disease with no cure and a 5% chance of permanent damage or death.

reply

1 in 20. Seems inflated. Plus you are lumping in permanent damage which can vary, with death. Seems to me plenty could have "permanent" damage and few could die, and the percentage would stay the same. Am I wrong?

reply

I just hope you don't get sick. That's all. Stay safe.

reply

I hope you do.

reply

Fortunately you have shown your sociopathic tendencies for everyone to see. Thank you for your cooperation.

reply

Why would that be fortunate. Shouldn't you be worried for me.

reply

By the way I meant I hope you do hope I don't get sick.

reply

Stop trolling

reply

Reported.

reply

So it's officially a disappointment? After all the hype? Wow.

reply

I don't have an 85 inch TV and I don't plan on getting one any time soon. And even if I did, it's not the same as a 40-foot screen. There are still certain movies that I really want to see properly in the cinema.

reply

You can. But wait until it's safe.

reply

You can’t know if it’s a disappointment unless you’ve seen it.

reply

That's what reviews are for, duh!
