This doesn't have the intellectual heft of The Matrix

After watching this over the weekend I couldn't help but see similarities in concepts to The Matrix. But, the difference is I don't feel compelled to contemplate what I just watched. EEAAO feels devoid of that spark found in the Matrix that makes people begin to question what is real or manipulation.

I actually became bored watching EEAAO. While visually interesting, it was akin to more disturbing trance hypno style porn videos. Which is fitting when you see some of the content of the movie, with dildoes and butt plugs galore. The Matrix never did something so low-brow as this!

This is an arthouse flick. It has an intelectual heft of a wet sponge.

How do you misspell 'intellectual' in a post that short?

What the heck is 'heft' anyway? Why be so pretentious, when you could say 'integrity', 'weight' or some more common-sensical word? HEFT?

By being dyslexic.

It was original. It wasn't trying to copy The Matrix.

"It was original."

Can you really say that with a straight face?

"It wasn't trying to copy The Matrix. "

The sentiment was 'I saw similarities', not 'it was trying to...'

You responded to your own strawman instead of what was actually being said. Also, not a very good argument even if you were correct. To add, you write two tiny sentences and think that makes a good post, without BASING those sentiments on anything.

Could you please at least put SOME thought into your post or delete it to save yourself from embarrassment?

Movies can't 'try' to 'copy' something, but even if they could, they can still do it 'without trying'. I mean, what movie these days doesn't base at least some of their action or sci-fi concepts or ideas on that movie?

Then you can also look at this movie, and realize exactly why so many reviewers and even articles DO mention 'The Matrix' in the context of this movie - could it be there ABSOLUTELY are enormous similarities and definitely 'copied things' with and from The Matrix?

Come on, you can't be that blind, can youi?
