THE FINAL BATTLE RUINED THE MOVIE

that made the entire movie trashy. they tried doing an humage to braveheart with the stakes. some nonsense as braveheart but now the stakes were hidden in holes in the ground. how did the english dident noticed it and just charged into them like buffons. how could the english were so dumb to charge into them. dosent they have spies? how they dident saw it?

The point is historically the Scots won the battle.
No one in the 21st century would know exactly how it was achieved, what were the actual battle tactics.
So is it such a big deal how it's represented in the movie? They could have used fire ala Brave Heart for all we know.

The Scots were standing in front of them till the last second. They couldn't see them and they weren't expecting a tactic like that.

P.S. I hope English is your second language.

The stakes in the unseen hole is known as a pitfall and hunters still use it. The fighters organized behind the pitfall with spears to kill anything that got past the pitfall. This got the English to try and flank, which is what the Scots wanted as they had a little something for them there - thick mud that is difficult for horses with heavily armored knights to traverse and you see them just fall down in the mud a few times and once the knight is off the horse, the Scots pounce. So, they used a variety of tactics to defeat the heavy cavalry

even if they dident saw the stakes. (which is unlikely) cavarly wouldent charge like that at so many infantry. i mean. thats not even practical
