MCU has finally done what Stryker/Trask/Rice tried to do..
eradicated the Xmen
shareNot quite. Disney perhaps. But without Disney it would've been Universal.
Overall it was Hulu that killed the X-Men as Hulu was the primary asset that Disney and Universal were interested in.
Marvel was Paramount, not Disney. Universal had Hulk, though.
shareI thought he was suggesting the acquisition of Fox is what killed the X-men. Since Disney bought Fox it would be on Disney's hands. But if Disney wasn't there to buy Fox it wouldv'e still been sold but to Universal. But technically speaking Disney and Universal were most interested in Fox's streaming platform Hulu. So Hulu could take the blame as well.
shareAh, I see. My bad.
shareThis topic is stupid. I know some people might have loved the Fox movies but I am looking forward to MCU's take on X-Men. I hope they do badass Rogue who isn't afraid to use her power to defend herself and her friends. Or finally put Gambit into a movie. Or make a movie with Bishop as the main character.
sharein about 5years or less when we're all knee deep in the fun/jokey MCU Xmen coming out 3 times a year with Magneto fighting Spiderman and Prof X talking woke with Cap Marvel and Wolverine is trading teen insults with starlord on some CGI fantasy planet we'll look back on Fox's XMen as the 'proper' Xmen movies that were 'real world'/made for adults and think 'man even X3 and Dark Phoenix were better than this shared universe cartoon stuff'
shareLol.
