Looks pretty dull so far.

People rag on X3 so much but I found it entertaining enough.

reply

Not sure how you can found the trailers dull but not X3. The action scenes in that movie were not particularly good unlike the ones in the trailer.

reply

Overcast, dim lighting, retread of an overrated story, questionable acting, and the money shot is simply a trainwreck. Probably gonna symbolize how this movie performs.

This movie frustrates me cause they should do the Good Phoenix first.

reply

Phoenix was an evil force in the comics though.

reply

Phoenix Force was never evil in the comics. It was neutral and reflected the personality of it's host. Hence it was good when it emulated Jean until Mastermind corrupted her. After that she could no longer control it.

reply

Jean was having dark thoughts before Mastermind got to her. She showed signs of this four issues after she got her power-up.

Mastermind just unleashed what was already there.

Because compared to the first two, X3 was a huge letdown. Even when judged on its own merits, the “big” Dark Phoenix storyline was just poorly executed. Plus Brett Ratner as director? Eek. I don’t completely dislike the movie (there’s some cool scenes in it), but it was seriously a disappointing finale to the original X-Men trilogy.

Re Dark Phoenix, we shall see. Though I may not have high hopes for it like a lot of folks, I still hope it manages to do the Dark Phoenix saga more justice than The Last Stand. If it’s a better overall movie than Apocalypse (which I quite like) and not a disaster, then I’ll be pleased. *Prepares for battle

Ever noticed how the X-Men never got to fight Phoenix in The Last Stand?

reply

You know the X-Men never had a fight with Phoenix in that entire movie, right?

reply

Yes, thanks to you Ecstasy.
