I just looked it up and Secret Life of Pets 2 comes out that same weekend. The next weekend, the new Men in Black movie comes out along with the new Shaft movie. ANd the following weekend after that Toy Story 4 comes out. This movie is not going to do well.

It was probably pushed back yet again as a result of all the reshoots, and while that might be a good thing for the quality of the film, it's now going to be released during a stacked summer season. It could potentially do well providing it gets great reviews, but even then...
It's maybe fair to say that it feels like the movie is doom to fail. But we'll see.

The latest X-Men installment “Dark Phoenix” is also leaving its original premiere date behind in favor of an early summer release June 7. The premiere shift is also part of an effort to capitalize on Chinese viewers, following a strong response to its trailer this week.
