Castle Rock sucks and you know it. If you want just straight up good TV watch Counterpart (The one with JK Simmons). Best show I've seen in a long time.

To be honest, I guess it's harsh to say CR sucks...it's just meh. Like a bad season of AHS or something. Don't like any characters, don't care about any of the characters, story is meandering as hell, and the writing tries too hard to cram in all the S. King references you can think of. But as far as story - boring. Pretty damn boring. I'll finish it, but it's not nearly what I had hoped for.

As someone who actually watched Counterpart, I don't get this recommendation.

Plus with Castle Rock it's too early to tell.

But Counterpart was a waste of time in my opinion.

You thought Counterpoint was a waste of time?? Well, I guess there’s no accounting for taste.

As far is it being “too early” - I disagree. We are almost halfway through the season already and it’s 0% engaging. Again, I’ll finish it because I pay for it, though.

I do find it engaging. I practically inhaled the first four episodes (think I might even rewatch), and can't wait for the next ep.

As for Counterpart, it started out interesting enough, which was why I stuck with it, but ultimately there wasn't enough sci-fi in it and there wasn't enough of a thriller aspect to it. There was just too much drama.

And the "there is no accounting for taste" adage works both ways.

Both of you guys are way off. The only show on TV worth watching is Bachelor in Paradise!
