I didn't even know about this until just now when I saw an ad. Too bad I don't have Hulu, but if this gets good reviews, I will eventually see it.

I don't have it either, but hopefully I'll get to see it one day.
I'm hopeful it sounds right up my street.
Did you ever watch Haven?

11.22.63 was originally on Hulu. Months later, my husband surprised me when he found it at Walmart.
Who knows? This will probably be on DVD by the end of the year.🀞
I'm sorry to say that I never did see Haven. Did you? If so, what is your opinion?

reply

It was loosely based on a short story The Colorado Kid. Very loosely by all accounts!
I liked it though. It centres around the town of Haven where some of the townsfolk are cursed with "troubles" usually brought out by an emotional break. Some are funny some are serious, and the main character Audrey helps solve them.
It's fun.

It sounds fun! I must look for that now. Thanks!

Back again! This has been weird, but fun. In the past 30 minutes or so, I suddenly felt like I was back in my old IMDb mode. I was talking to you on this board and talking to Michigan Frog on the Wait until Dark board all around the same time, and then ecarle also was talking to me on that one, PLUS, I was making a few observations on the High Chaparral board!
Whew! And there are folks on the General Discussion board who say there isn't much going on in the individual boards!
More people ought to get off that and start talking movies and shows!

You made a thread a while ago encouraging us to post on regular boards so I try to do so from time to time.
I think the boards are evolving, the trending section is fairly active. GD is becoming less so now but I don't think it's a bad thing. We could easily get stuck in a rut, the safety net of familiarity. But I can only tolerate so much babysitting Croft and his obsessions and watching others rally round to cosset and protect him.
The naysayers are strange because if they're so convinced it's a failure why are they still here?

I agree with everything you said. General Discussion can be nice. Even fun at times, but the safety net of familiarity really can bring me down at times. After a while, it's like being cooped up all winter with the same people. I have even noticed that a number of threads are on topics we covered over a year ago. Of course, the newer people don't realize it, but I have. I already covered my first job when we all first got here.
Anyway, I have been gravitating more and more to these individual boards and I'm liking it. I've even run into folks I never see on the GD board. I don't even mind talking to myself.
I have woken up The High Chaparral board in the past few weeks. I figure that there may come a day when another fan of that show comes along..... maybe in another year? LOL!
The naysayers keep looking back on what we use to have. They need to get over it.
