Does this get any better than 1st episode?
Is this worth putting the time in to watch? Watched the first episode and it seemed to want to be a David Lynch series and failing badly at that.....

It's pretty much the same all the way, very slow-paced and has an open ending.
Me however I liked it.
I'm going to give it a couple of more episodes....can't put my finger on it, but in the first episode it was just king of like the segment was trying to be artsy for the sake of being artsy...if that makes sense....

Valhalla Rising, Neon Demon, Only God Forgives, Drive?
He has a very distinctive style.
I've seen Drive and Only God Forgives. Liked Drive, but not Only God Forgives too much...I'll look for the other two to give them a look.
shareDrive is easily his most accessible, most mainstream film. If you didn't like Only God Forgives, and aren't really into this new show of his, he's probably just not for you.
I loved Drive, thought Valhalla and Only God Forgives were interesting but not great, and didn't much care for Neon Demon.
Oh, I have seen Bronson and the Pusher trilogy. Liked them both. I'll watch about anything with Tom Hardy in it (don't know about Venom, though)
shareI on the contrary worship Valhalla Rising, Only God Forgives and Fear X. Drive and Bronson are just 'the things you do for money' IMO. And 'Neon Demon' is a disaster.
As to 'artsy for the sake of being artsy'... well... I do not consider 'Stalker' to be slow, nor 'Gerry', nor 'Better Call Saul'. But this... the unbearable slowness of 'Too Old' is just this thing for me: artsy for the sake of being artsy.
The slowness was great. It made me really become a part of that world. It was a place I have never been or would ever want to in reality though. That world, at times, was quite terrifying.
