Two episodes in, much better than I expected

I had watched a few minutes of this a couple months ago and didn't think it would hold my interest. It's much better done than I thought though. Depressing as hell topic, of course.

It gets really good actually. I did not find this depressing,
but when I first watched the beginning episodes they were
a bit hard to get into. After a while it was very good.

There is a note at IMDB for trivia that the real Ali Soufan
had told Jeff Daniels that he did a great job of portraying
John O'Neil. that is probably a lot the writer's effort, but
he was a good complex character very interestingly
portrayed. You can see he was right, but a lot because
of Soufan's patient coaching of him, and he lorded it above
his superiors and in general made a pain in the neck or
himself.

The CIA guy Martin Schmidt played by Peter Sarsgard was
also an SOB. A lot of big egos with staked out territory ...
that is our government and why none of it works any more.

I'm just wondering if there are only 10 episodes ... does
it just end at 911? There should be another one today, or
yesterday.

I thought it was first rate. However I don't think it's for everybody and if I didn't know script, I don't think I would have liked it as much. It helps to have read about characters for real. So if this story other than the 9/11 disaster is new to you, may find things tough to follow.

it's good though I'll be watching it again this week.
