I saw the film and it basically had the same beats writing wise as every other "Sick Teens in love" type of films. 1- Sick girl with a gay best friend 2- Girl meet boys she cannot stand 3- Gay best friend encourage girl to give the guy a chance 4- Girl and guy fall in love 5- Gay best friend dies 6-Girl is upset over death of GBF so she pushed away boy 7-Girl and boy make up but realize they can never be together-- I basically guessed the all film within the first 5 minutes it started

So? Hero saves world and gains girl is another trope. Guess what: it's still used.

Yeah I was hoping they would still find a way to be together as I thought that's what the whole movie was supposed to be about. There's even a song made for the movie called "I'm Not Giving Up." But then they did. And at the end, there's no closure. We don't know what really happens to these characters at the end.
