The last 2 episodes I just find this character so boring and uninteresting. He's been kept on "his own" away from Neil's team, Claire/Shaun. I don't know if its the attempt to make him more likable, but it's backfiring for me.
shareI don't find him boring but he's supposed to be distant and cold, that way they can show him "warming up" and becoming a real person. Just like the feel-good girl Claire keeps making mistakes because her judgement is clouded by emotion. And of course they throw them together as a couple because opposites attract. Last week Jared donated a bunch of money to another hospital for tilapia skins but this week feeds a sob story about his terrible parents to the geezer who wants to die. My take was that he was lying. But I like the show. It's not a great show but is mildly entertaining. I hope they break up the routine of Shaun never learns anything but everyone around him goes through self discovery.
