Pace

What is it with SOME current shows that everything is a three-second moment, nothing lingers, etc?

This show was one of the worst where that is concerned, and the acting was sort of crappy, so it made things worse.

I did like the Nico actor, I've seen the little girl before on Hallmark, she's always the same in every show. The lead female....her expressions and facial work were highly distracting and with the frenetic pace, not effective.

The story wasn't bad, but if it could have just been done in, say, 22 episodes with excellent actors that played the emotional beats if would have probably been pretty good. It does keep you guessing. Nothing develops, so their emotion is about as believable as a comic.

The guy who played Serina's handler was probably one of the better portrayals and that's not saying much.

I also liked the grandmother of Serina who was on for four seconds (hyperbole, a bit).

What's the phenom with the lack of development?
