For a MASSIVE FLOP, this movie is doing VERY WELL

What I mean is, critics and European audiences seem to love this movie, despite the heinous crime it commits in the first 10 minutes. It makes me wonder if people are becoming WOKE, or if they'll accept any old CRAP in the name of movies. In either case, I despair, because why anyone would want to see an ageing Sarah Connor or an ageing T-800 is beyond me.

In any case, now this movie exists, both the first two movies are now NULLIFIED, and it was ALL FOR NOTHING. These modern moviemakers sure know how to kill franchises!

The accomplishment of Terminator is that it warned us of the imminent danger of AI and at the same time told us of its inevitably.

For the rest it: It's just entertainment

Let's face it. No one will top the double bill of T1 and T2. They can try and reboot the franchise but nothing will compare to those two. Just do what I do. Pretend films don't exist after the franchise goes bad. For instance, there are only 3 Die Films. Easy.

That Die Hard analogy doesn't work for me, because whilst I have DH2, I consider it quite weak. But I LOVE DH4.

Why are the first two nullified? IMO, they are in different time lines. T1 is the complete story - the same thing happens over and over with no changes. T2 - something changed because two terminators were sent back and are not a part of the original story and when Cyberdyne is destroyed the future changes, Even though I wasn't crazy about the movie, T3 is what I consider to be logical progression of events after T2 - Skynet takes over, Judgement Day happens only later, and John becomes the leader of the resistance, still sending Kyle back to 1984.

Cameron says that DF is the sequence to T2 and is canon. Well, good for him but that doesn't erase the universe of T1 where John survives to adulthood.

Somehow I ended up liking this movie. Shit, now I guess I gotta defend it for life.

I was with the story from the get go and my mind filled in all the gaps in logic for me.

Good acting and solid story as well. I think the crap terminator movies ruined all the goodwill the 1st two movies created.

That being said I love all the terminator movies anyway

What drugs are you on? Metascore is 54. Imdb rating is 6.5 (non US). Hardly "love this movie"!

Europe aren't big fans of this movie. $13m across Europe in its opening weekend.
The UK cinema I watched it in, there were only 9 people and this was on a Friday night.
