His life was in shambles
Even worse than what was portrayed in this film.
* The death threats and threats of vigilante justice were constant. The film touches on it but not enough.
* He went homeless with his kids and stayed with like five different people. Film doesn't really go there.
* He overdosed multiple times from depression/ stress and had to be taken to the hospital
* He was doing the concerts because he was totally broke. He couldn't even afford to buy toilet paper according to a family friend. There was no money left.
He made terrible choices in his life but it's still sort of depressing. The kids suffered a lot too. I never liked him but his fall from grace is a cautionary tale.
I still can't understand why he never moved himself and adopted kids back home with his mother?
