Matthew Goode sidelined, why?
Why did they stick Mary’s husband on an extended business trip for most of this film? He only appears at the very end. Yet boring, pudgy Tom is all over this film and gets all kinds of interesting scenes: hero to the king, marriage counselor to the princess, romantic interest of the maid/heiress. Would have been nice to get to know Mary’s husband more, especially since her first marriage was the centerpiece story of this show.
