CBS's ridiculus amount of comercials, and typical streaming experience?

My Dvr missed the last 3 or 4 minutes of the show, due to football ending late. So I was like I'll just go to CBS.com and watch the end, well it turns out to watch the 3 final minutes of the show I had sit through and mute 10 minutes of streaming commercials, this is absolutely absurd, and I will never use their whole show episode streaming again, I will instead go download the whole show using bittorrent where it is hassle free and commercial free and cbs can take their advertising dollars and stick them where the sun doesn't shine. I am interested to hear what are other users experiences with major networks and the streaming of whole episodes, and whether my experience was typical for attempting to watch just several minutes at the end of a show?

I can't access most shows onlybe because I live in Canada. I do to ask though since my DVR also cut off the end.... Did they catch the couple that caught the bus?

reply

Yes, the couple on the bus was caught.

Thank you.

Get a vpn, that would solve that.

This is typical, i made the mistake of streaming a show i missed and it was the same 1 min of show equals 10 min of ads.

I have similar frustration with watching Emerald City episodes on nbc.com -- the ads I actually don't mind so much, it's the poor quality & glitching picture....or rather the INABILITY to show settings where you can turn OFF the "HD" quality or dumb down the picture quality for wi-fi connections. My computer's fine, all webpages work fine including YouTube. But for some reason NBC.com wants to cram the highest possible bandwidth HQ video, with no options for the user to scale it down :\ That and the terrible audio mixing/production of the show almost makes me want to stop watching it. Half the dialog is unintelligible because of the thick British accents of half the cast and/or the lousy vocal delivery and/or poor sound levels of the show. Sorry, my rant here has very little to do with Hunted *lol*

I was mainly asking about streaming experiences on this and other shows, good to know.

Man, I can't believe you people STILL put up with ad-laden streaming sites. You've had TEN YEARS to learn better!
Go to tv-release or ddlvalley (or numerous others) & get your shows in high quality with all the ad breaks edited out. Just make sure you use a pop-up blocker.
You're welcome.
