Confusing title

For a relative outsider like me the title of this movie was very confusing. I have seen the 2016 film and I did notice some time ago that there was some sort of sequel (Birds of Prey?) but when I saw the name "Suicide Squad" again recently in some advertising I wasn't sure whether if it was about Birds of Prey or a dvd/blu-ray release or a re-release of the original film. The look of the advertising was very similar to that of the two other movies with Margot Robbie's character so prominent on it. I never realised until today that it was a sequel.

I don't plan to see it anytime soon, but Warner Bros could have made it a lot easier on themselves by giving this film a title that distinguished it a bit more from the other two movies in this franchise.
