A few complaints - Why not just have Bloodsport be Deadshot? Could have been same story but with a character we've already seen and played much better in this film than Will Smith

Capt Boomerang should have lived. He's one of the main Suicide Squad characters and was hoping to see the Rogues in The Flash movie

Other than that this movie definitely has a bigger feel and is much more suited for R rating. They did a real good job with lesser known characters like Ratcatcher2 and PolkaDot Man and King Shark was awesome!

Even John Cena was decent

Lots of deaths, violence and Starro was done well and definitely felt like a threat.

Very fair score. Just got done watching it and it's wayyyyy better than the first one. Gunn just has a knack for making solid comic book movies. I wouldn't mind if DC decided to use him more often.

I absolutely hated the first one. The only joy I got out of it was bashing it on old IMDB with everyone else. I wouldn't mind them letting Gunn do more DC movies either. He's proven himself more than capable at this point

Not sure it deserves a 7/10... probably more like a 5/10. The movie had some serious problems, didn't seem to know if it was trying to be serious or a comedy, the songs picked for segways in the movie were often very shitty and lasted way too long, the main monster looked more like Patrick Star from Spongebob on acid than any scary monster, and why did they make characters that were supposed to be human suddenly have the ability to jump around nearly flying and surviving massive hits more like Superman... I mean the number of times Harley was flying around like Peter Pan, or Idris is falling down heights that would kill anyone and he isn't phased... I think the director forgot that some of the character are just people and not superheroes from Krypton.

I was wondering how you go to see it so early then I see that it's already on streaming... Sigh, they did it again. Oh wells, guess that's more money saved for me.

I'd agree with most of what you say. I did enjoy this movie more than the original. (Though, I don't think that the original was as bad as everyone said it was.) This had more humour, and felt like a more fun movie.

I was disappointed that Captain Boomerang had to die. Even if he didn't have much of a part for him in this movie, you could have used his cameo for something better than just killing him off.

What I will say is, I quite liked that they made Bloodsport a different character, and didn't just recast somebody else as Deadshot. I get that the two characters are very similar, but part of the strength of having almost two completely different teams in the two movies is that The Suicide Squad movies aren't tied to one particular team. Actors can leave the franchise, but then come back to those characters in later films if they like. It leaves it open for Will Smith to do future Suicide Squad films if he wants to. (Another reason that it was a shame that they killed off Boomer.)
