Ending seems implausible SPOILER ALERT

Wouldn't the police be able to tell that he had been hit in the head prior to his "accident" and that he had sustained a concussion? Wouldn't the police find it fishy that he didn't clean the gash on his head before doing anything else? I mean I suppose that the kid could have angled the bullet to hit him in that spot but it's still a stretch right?

It seemed obvious to me the boy was aiming at the bruised forehead with the glock.

What's implausible is that 2 kids moved the body of a grown man out of the house in broad daylight and that once the father was missing, no one reported his pickup being parked in front of the house of that woman who got attacked.

I think you could write the in-between to explain that the kids put him in the backyard, moved his truck, and then moved his body when it was dark. I don't know how much time you spend watching who comes and goes at your neighbors' houses but I certainly wouldn't have logged it into my memory that a repairman's truck was parked there for 30 minutes or so during the day. I would expect a forensics analyst or medical examiner would've seen that the bruise was there (possibly in the same place as the bullet wound) and become suspicious. Bullets don't leave the same bruising that blunt force does. Sure, it could've been explained away by their saying "the examiner thinks he fell and hit his head, became disoriented and forgot he hadn't unloaded his firearm before cleaning it". BUT they didn't (and even that wouldn't have helped much because who gashes their head open and doesn't tend to the wound before cleaning a gun?)

The father got hit in the back of the head with a lamp, though. If he ALSO was hit in the forehead, I don't recall, it's entirely possible.
I distinctly remember Kassi hitting him once in the back of the head to help Tyler, and then hitting him again (out of view) in what is presumed the head, once again.

How is it implausible that two people were able to move one, though? Unless you meant specifically because it was broad daylight? How did the real life BTK manage to kill people in broad daylight if neighbours would have definitely noticed him entering/exiting the homes (by this threads standards, I mean. Going off the assumption that every neighbour monitors and studies the happenings going on t every house around them at all times...which USUALLY doesn't happen. Unless you've got one of those psycho neighbours).

It's safe to ASSUME, that the two of them were strong enough to lift one body into the truck and drive it away so it wasn't sitting in front of the house. They probably left it at the campsite with the father so it didn't look like he hiked there on his own with full camping gear.
They probably tried to make it look like he drove himself and all his gear into the middle of the woods.
It's been a while since I've seen the movie though, I don't recall if they show (or even mention) the truck.

What I find implausible is the fact that the woman survived, saw all of their faces and even heard Kassi's name and somehow at the end of the movie, nobody is the wiser as to the identity of the killer (except Tyler, Kassi and the woman/victim). She, for whatever reason, just didn't report, tell or talk about what happened? Doubtful.

There were some lose ends like the woman victim: I seem to recall Tyler saying (loosely quoted) "Kassi, help her". She would have that name and also the clearly stated father/son dialog. That, I'm sure would prompt some serious investigation when a "father" in the community is found dead under pretty unclear circumstances.

Like I said, some loose ends but still a pretty good movie.
