I don't understand why the ghost is back in time after jumping off the building? Starting from that scene I can't put things together.
shareI don't get it either. As to why? Because that's what the director wanted to do with the story, I think is the only answer.

It's a ghost story. A ghost can't "die" by falling off a building.

I assume the director is a big fan of Men in Black 3. At least one seems to be out there.
sharei don't think there's any real logic to it, other than that as a ghost he's no longer experiencing time the way we do.
he blinks and he's in the near future. then he's in the more distant future, where big buildings have been developed where he used to live. when he tries to escape, he ends up in the exact same spot but in the past. he blinks again, and he's back in the present, where his story finally resolves.
Perhaps it was all about reading the note in the wall. Time and fate gave him the chance to do that.
