There are "movie cigarettes" that have herbs in them instead of tobacco. I would think that there would be something similar for cigars.
CGI smoke is more convincing nowadays as removed mustaches -> no hindrance
shareObviously you would get sick. It's a cigar. Chain smoking cigars on multiple takes would be insane. I have a hard time believing the studios would even allow real cigars vs fake vapor ones, or using CGI smoke.
