As a comic reader, I thought that was awesome. I do wonder if the average movie fan will appreciate them though.

Okay, I watched it. Pretty surprised. Indeed, a lot of comic references that had nothing to do with the Fox films. I really fucking loved it.

I was a comic fan but the movie was only refrences. The plot didn't have much of a story. That's why I didn't like it.
