Little People actors pissed at Dinklage

Now little people actors are pissed at him for taking away the few roles they can fill


AND THERE IS THE PROBLEM..."THE FEW ROLES THEY CAN FILL"?...NO...LITTLE PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE...THY CAN PLAY ANY ROLE...THAT IS WHAT DINKLAGE MEANT...LITTLE PEOPLE ARE JUST PEOPLE AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY ALL KINDS OF ROLES...NOT JUST MAGICAL BEINGS.

What Dinklage did was pathetic.

People with dwarfism have a very limited amount of roles they can play. Being in Snow White is about a good as it gets for them.

There was the potential for seven roles in the movie for dwarfs ("Little People"). One or more of them might have been "breakout" parts that would have led to further roles and stardom, much like Dinklage has enjoyed. I guess the little hypocrite can't handle anybody else getting a piece of that pie.

I don't blame them for being angry. His words, while they may not have had the consequences he intended, did set things back for little people who are trying to break into the acting business and for those already established. As Kowalski pointed out, little people are capable of playing any role and should have those options. But let's be real, that is very hard for them to do because they are very rarely given that chance. Even Mr. Dinklage himself has not had many roles that are not specifically geared towards a little person. He's had a few but many came only after his fame from playing one of the most famous little people, Tyrion Lannister. Before that, his roles were vastly geared towards people with some kind of obvious difference. Even in Cyrano, he was not cast as the handsome and perfect Cristian that Roxanne originally fell for, he was cast as the odd ball, not a big nose, but a dwarf.

Personally, I would go for Dinklage in a heartbeat. He is gorgeous, confident and radiates sexy. But, I am not a casting agent and he and I are married 😁

I don't believe he meant to pull the ladder up as people have stated but then, I don't know him personally. For all we know he may be a wife beater who enjoys eating puppies. Until I hear otherwise, I do want to give him the benefit of doubt.

And let's face it, in these times of reboots, remakes, etc, no doubt someone else will do yet another Snow White and hopefully this time cast little people to play the seven dwarves.
