This was horrible. Puffin on that cigar over and over in every scene and talking like something from a Batman movie. The whole thing was pathetic.
shareDeniro's Capone was cartoonish. Tom Hardy plays the man straight up as someone who is losing his mind (and his bodily functions) from late-stage neurosyphilis.
They are both great actors, but whether you are entertained by Deniro's version and, perhaps, turned off by Hardy's is another story.
Well that might be true. But one thing is for certain. Untouchables was an incredible movie. And DeNiro is one of the greatest actors of all time. This movie stunk but I'll admit it's not fully Hardy's fault.
shareI agree that The Untouchables was great, a taut, well-acted thriller, with great performances from Costner, Sean Connery, and Andy Garcia. This movie was not great, just a different kind of movie.
