U.S. War on Drugs has ravaged Mexico and many Central American countries.

And to think, when it was implemented, the U.S. literally used economic (trade/tariff/etc) blackmail against other countries to get them to adopt the same kinds of drug laws.

Meanwhile, of course, the industry for alcohol is booming, despite being one of the most addictive and destructive drugs available.
