I have always liked Disney even tho I did not not get attached to most of their movies. So when they do live action movies it doesnt bother me.

Remakes like 101 Dalmations, Jungle Book and Maleficent I enjoyed. Beauty and Beast cartoon and live action were horrible.

But movies like Lion King and Aladdin do not need a remake. I dont think any recreation of Aladdin can come close to touching the original. I still quote it and sing the songs all the time. BTW I have 2 kids.

I am always okay with live action remakes, as for me it's easier to get emotionally invested in actual humans than in animated characters. Plus, they don't have to make the remakes carbon copies of the animated films. In fact, it's best if they don't and offer us something a little different.

I'm torn on this film too, but not because I feel like the animated film is perfect. Rather, it's because the trailers so far are just not looking very good.

I enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast live action film, BTW. In fact, I think it's my favorite so far.

They should have just done a big 25th anniversary theatrical re-release of the original.
