They don't even live in a jungle.
Other animals don't treat them as rulers, they just hope they won't eat them.

Lions used to live in the Jungle a couple of centuries ago.

The Lions wouldn't talk in general if the movie was trying to be realistic. It's just a movie for kids and people who grew up watching the original cartoon movie.
