Lions aren't the king of the jungle

They don't even live in a jungle.
Other animals don't treat them as rulers, they just hope they won't eat them.

Poetic license.

Lions used to live in the Jungle a couple of centuries ago.

(I am deadly serious and the sentence is true. Can you guess how is that possible?)

And a tiger will kick a lion's ass 5 out of 7 days a week.

It's apparently down to an imprecise translation: https://www.theguardian.com/notesandqueries/query/0,,-2693,00.html.

In addition, lions were previously found in a much wider range of habitats, including deserts.

No, it's George of the Jungle.

The Lions wouldn't talk in general if the movie was trying to be realistic. It's just a movie for kids and people who grew up watching the original cartoon movie.

reply

Tarzan has always been King of the Jungle.
