How...?

Does live action = CGI? Or are they going to make it based on African tribes instead of animals?

There are no humans in it. At least with The Jungle Book, there was Mowgli. Here... no one. I think they should just leave it alone...

I know what you mean. Kinda confusing.

According to this recent article revealing the new cast, they say "Live Action" should definitely be in quotation marks. I guess they mean "Live Action" in that the CG animals will look photorealistic, but every tree, leaf, rock and watering hole will be 100% like in the Jungle Book. Technically, this will be a fully animated film, but just look very realistic.

Leave it alone... that was not to be.

I myself look forward to seeing how it all turns out. Got a good feeling about it. Certainly the animation will be awe-inspiring, but hopefully everything about the film will be sensational.

Silly Goose. Disney used to just re-release their films every 7 years or so for a younger and newer audience. Kids are born ALL of the time you do know that. Remaking The Lion King and the rest of their successful staple of animated films is a goldmine as the stories are tried and true entertainment. On top of that many international audiences have never seen some of these films and the remakes appear to be quite popular both in the USA and abroad.

I for one am excited to see this remake of the film as much as I was excited to see the stage production which was even more electric than the film itself.
